1. Java: The use of this multi-platform programming language means the system can be migrated easily from one mobile device to another and simplifies system management. 2. Online Editor: · Integrated data management tool. · Personalisation tool. 3. BatEngine: · Java. · XML (Extended Marked Language): allowing the same contents to be viewed in HTML, WML or Flash. · Channels for clients (user device types) and administration. · Interfaces for different devices. · Different technologies (Java, WML, HTML, JavaScript, Flash) that make up the unique characteristics of the Batmap Geographic Navigator. 4. Databases: · Batmap's own contents and those belonging to third parties. · User information. · Cartographic data. 5. Map applications allowing any cartography format to be integrated, for example: · Raster cartography: TIFF, GEOTIFF. · Vectorial cartography: ESRI, MAPINFO, AUTOCAD, etc. · Production of maps in formats such as GIF, JPG, PNG, SVG, WBMP. 6. Geographic referencing: · Allows the client's location data to be positioned simply and accurately on the Navigator map-based user interface. · This geographic referencing capability, which allows for rapid entry and modification of site information, is operated via an easy-to-use on-line editor. |
